ADA Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new paintings by Alezendria Decking, marking her upcoming solo presentation in Richmond, Virginia. Who’s Watching, If Not You, opens Friday March 6, 6-9pm.
Decking’s work centers on quietly charged moments of everyday life, fleeting interactions, gestures, and expressions that often go unnoticed. Drawing from observation and memory, her paintings frame the ordinary as intimate and emotionally resonant, inviting viewers to slow down and look closely. Her paintings are guided by intuitive color relationships and cropped viewpoints that heighten emotional nuance and vulnerability. By isolating fragments of interaction, Decking emphasizes the quiet tension and intimacy present in both public and private spaces.
Alezendria Decking is a Brazilian- American artist based in Richmond, VA.
