The Idea:
To gather quality works of art on paper by a wide variety of artists and
to display them in bins similar to those found in record stores. All artwork
will be mounted with artist’s tape on record cover sized foam core,
inserted in plastic record sleeve covers, and displayed in record bins.
Requirements:
- Only flat works on paper (drawings, prints, photographs, ect.) will be
included.
- Entries must be 11 x 11 inches or smaller.
- All work must be for sale.
- Artists requiring special mounting such as mats will be responsible for
mounting their own work and should contact Doug Utley at 804-353-1725 or
dougutley@handworkshop.org before doing so.
Where/When/How:
ADA Gallery: March 4th through November 2005.
Work will be accepted on an ongoing basis starting now and ending in November
and should be submitted in person or mailed with a completed entry form
to ADA Gallery at the address listed below. Entry forms are available at
ADA Gallery or at www.adagallery.com.
Other Considerations:
- A 40% commission will be taken from all sales to help fund the project.
The artist will receive 60% of all sales.
- Extremely fragile work should not be submitted.
- Only original artwork will be accepted. No photocopies please.
- Selections from entries will be left up to the discretion of the organizers
- Work not initially included in the bins may be kept by the gallery for
further consideration
